Overview
The current IT job market has changed dramatically from what it was prior to year 2000. Prior to 2000, the demand for IT specialists in USA was across wide variety of fields, where most accents were for pure technical expertise. It created a demand for narrow profiled developers. With the expansion of communication and Internet in particular, the globalization took it course and IT industry went through the similar changes as manufacturing industry did back in 80's. The actual production went to the places that were capable to do it at the lower cost. Outsourcing became the way of life. Thousands of high paying jobs were lost to overseas.
But as with manufacturing, the know-how, the target clientele and control are still here in USA. Those in IT who were able to adjust to the new game, by becoming an expert in a particular industry and mastering the skills of business analysis and development management are still in high demand.

Why should you take the course
Let's step back for a moment and examine the stages that some of IT developers are going through and see if any of this applies to you.
A. You are looking for a job as a programmer and you see that there are just not many openings which match all of your skills and offer the compensation that you need. You decided to change your resume and apply for a business analyst position. You think that there is nothing to it. You think that you can do an excellent job. But, for some reason you are not getting offers or you are fired shortly after company hired you.
B. The company is cutting back on the development staff, because of outsourcing and they require only a few to stay and facilitate the smooth process of seamless integration of the outsourcing team into their corporate infrastructure. The selected few will control the remote developers, supply requirements, review the progress and insure that the delivered work is what was expected. You think that you can do a great job in achieving all of this, but some one else is selected or, even more, the company looks to hire someone new from the outside to fill-in the position. You think that the management made a wrong decision. You need that job, but the bottom line is - you are not getting it!
C. After certain number of years working as a developer, you begin to desire to evolve yourself as a manager/leader. You want to step up on the corporate ladder, advance in your career. There were situations when you hoped to be promoted to lead the group of developers or to be the project manager, but someone else got the promotion or the company is looking to hire the manager. You know that you're smarter and know more then the person that was selected instead of you. You do not understand why you were not selected and it frustrates you.
D. You are looking for a job as a manager or a team leader. You believe you can do a great job. You have interpersonal skills. You claim that you can: manage, estimate, lead, etc. But interview after interview and nothing. You don't understand why.
Does any of the above apply to you? Do you understand why it was not you who got selected? Do you really know what you are lacking?
You think there is nothing into being business analyst or a manager. You are wrong! And the above serves as proof. We will educate you, show you the way and at the end you'll get an opportunity to bid for a real job!
